My
name is Peggy Whyte and I am a former French teacher – I taught HS French at Western High School in Pike County for 11 years (in the 80′s and 90′s). I am a tech (and Mac) enthusiast, but that doesn’t mean you could actually call me a “techie.” I love to learn new things, so working at SCOCA should be a great adventure!
SCOCA stands for “South Central Ohio Computer Association” – we are one of Ohio’s ITC’s (Information Technology Centers). We’re located in beautiful southern Ohio in Piketon and we serve more than 11 counties. I am the Curriculum Integration Coordinator and I focus my energy on Interactive Video Conferencing, Blackboard Learn, InfOhio Resources and other technologies that teachers in our area have available to make learning more engaging for our students.
No matter where I am, or where I am going, I am first and foremost a teacher. I believe that teaching is the most important profession, and the only way we can change the world. I believe that learning should be fun, contagious actually. Let’s put our heads together to change the world and have fun doing it!
This is where we’re located:
