StudyMate for Blackboard

South Central Ohio Computer Association has obtained a license for StudyMate Class, which is now available from within the Blackboard Learning System. StudyMate Class helps students “master the basics” of course material through the use of learning activities within Blackboard courses.

Simple templates are used to create facts or sample questions that are based on course materials. The data is then transformed into interactive activities and self-assessments ranging from flash cards to game shows. Depending on the editing rights set by the instructor, students can edit entries by classmates. Instructors can also grade students on participation and select student-created questions for use in Blackboard assessments.

StudyMate Class also allows you to access specially-formatted publisher test banks for textbooks that have been adopted in your classes (at no charge). Information about the Respondus Test Bank Network — and the StudyMate Class software application — is available at www.respondus.com.

For a complete list of features, visit the Respondus web site at http://www.respondus.com/products/studymateclass.shtml .
