WVIZ and the Cleveland Council On World Affairs is hosting a SPECIAL CURRENT EVENTS program on March 21st. This “right-on-time” program features former Deputy Ambassador to Egypt, Peter Precht. Mr. Precht has spent his life serving his country as a member of the Foreign Service. He was stationed in Rome, Alexandria, Tehran, and Cairo before retiring. Shortly after his arrival in Cairo, President Sadat was assassinated and Hosni Mubarak became president.
Join WVIZ, on March 21, as Mr. Precht discusses the “old” and “new” Egypt and its impact upon other countries in the Middle East and around the world. Please share the attached flyer with your English and Social Studies teachers and students. Do not miss this chance to provide an opportunity for your teachers and students to interact with an “expert” diplomat.
Schools interested in participating in this FREE program should let me know (pwhyte@scoca.org) by March 17th.
