The Newtek Tricaster has helped to transform Valley High School into a live production studio. This lightweight, portable system provides a "live" or "on-demand" programming network via the World Wide Web. Within minutes, students are able to stream live school events and other programming within the district, as well as to an Internet audience. Special features that help to enhance the broadcast include onscreen stats and scoreboards, screen overlays and transitions, multiple camera angles, live virtual sets via green screen technology, and other audio/video enhancements that provide students with a professional touch to their wordwide connection.
